Our Journey Continues-

This is Dottie, Matthew's Mimi. We promised to keep you up to date on news about Matthew as it became available. That's the reason for this post. I also want to share some recent photos!!

Will and Nikki spoke to the folks at Children's Hospital in Boston and now have the schedule for the next trip...
On Monday, May 9th, Matthew will be admitted for numerous procedures; Echocardiogram, EKG, Chest X-Ray, Lab Work, and an appointment with his cardiologist Dr. Breitbart.

On Tuesday, May 10th, he will have a sedated MRI and a cardiac catheterization.

On Friday, May 13th, Matthew will have an appointment with his surgeon Dr. Baird.

On Monday, May 16th, he will have his second open heart surgery. This surgery is called a "bi-directional Glenn procedure."

Matthew's recovery time in Boston will be 10-14 days.

That is the information we have at this time. Please pray with us for a safe trip and a successful surgery.

If anyone would like to help with the expenses related to this trip, you may donate to the Matthew James McClurg Donation Fund at any Wachovia/Wells Fargo branch, or you may also send a check to: Matthew James McClurg Donation Fund, P.O. Box 2297, Daphne, AL 36526.

After his birth and first surgery, it was donations from family and friends that allowed Will and Nikki to pay the bills that came. We appreciate so much the help you are giving this hard-working young couple.

Here are some recent photos that I thought you would enjoy:

Doesn't he look like he's all ready for an outdoor adventure? Tennis, anyone?

And here he's all tired out after his fun time outside!!
